A Fort for Corbin
As close as Corbin is to walking, he is crawling faster and becoming more daring. Today he climbed over his power wheel that Grandma Brenda got him for Christmas. He feels restricted when in his walker now and primarily uses it only as a tunnel to crawl through. He has his own adventure course from the living room to the bathroom....he cannot take a direct path. He must crawl through a dining room chair, above the table brace, through another chair, then under the kitchen table, past the pantry to get a dirty sock from the bathroom. As mom or dad yells...YUK! One of us (usually daddy) pulls the sock out of his mouth and closes the bathroom door. I sheepishly look at James and say, oh I must have left the door open (normally while doing laundry....we seem to have an overabundance of dirty laundry these days).
Since Corbin is so fascinated with being under the tables, I decided during play time I would make a fort for him out of a tablecloth and a couple of the dining room chairs. He thought it was pretty cool and it has now become a part of his adventure course.
Corbin has also become adept at finding loose paper or cardboard to chew on through out the house. I have no idea why he is so fascinated with the texture in his mouth. I can't imagine that it would taste that great. He is certainly growing to be a little dare devil and a big trouble maker!
