What's Your Name?

Corbin says his name for the camera.

Squirrel and Duck Hunting

Corbin really enjoyed going to the parks today. I think he liked bird watching and squirrel chasing the best. In the morning we went to the Elkins City Park where there was a women feeding the squirrels nuts. After lunch we went out to riverbend and saw lots of ducks.

All Aboard the PlayExpress

Corbin had a blast today at the city park. Besides all the animal watching, he loved this train shaped jungle gym.

Hardwork Makes Corbin Sleepy

Yesterday, Corbin spent the afternoon pushing around his monkey in a pink stroller, but today he got to do some manly things. Grandma's next door neighbor was doing some planting and he had a digger! Corbin got to go for a ride. Of course he didn't want to go inside. He could have watched the digger all day long. Unfortunately, I didn't have a memory card in the camera at the time, so I took a couple of pictures with the internal camera memory. I will have to post the digger pictures when James gets here. Sorry. Anyway, Corbin was so tired, he ended up falling asleep at the dinner table, animal cookie in-hand.

Monkey Walk

Shawn and Kristi let me borrow one of their strollers to take Corbin for a walk so I could get some exercise. Corbin walks a little bit slow. The stroller is of course pink, and Corbin had a delightful time taking his monkey for a stroll when we got back to Grandma's house.

Not a Box

Corbin's Grandpap built him the fun clubhouse...it is definitely NOT A BOX!

Valley Worlds of Fun!

Today Grandma and Grandpap took all their grandkids to Valley Worlds of Fun in Fairmont, West Virginia. Inside there are games, a midway with rides, laser tag and more. Outside there are more rides, including the favorite bumper boats. We all had fun today, but are very tired. In the picture below, Corbin stands with Grandma in front of the train mural.

Valley Worlds of Fun - Inside

We started the day inside playing games. Corbin got to drive a big rig...or at least pretend to. After he got down, he stumbled upon the indoor midway. We had the bumper cars and the entire midway to ourselves. Naturally, Corbin had to try out every car.

The bounce house was still scary, even though mamma was the only one inside it with Corbin. We liked driving the Snoopy ice cream truck better.

Valley Worlds of Fun - Golf

Corbin didn't really play golf. He became a good obstacle though and kept trying to take Lucas's golf ball.

Bumper Boats

We all had a blast on the bumper boats. Corbin didn't want to go on them at first, but then I said I was going on them by myself. he decided he would tag along. He had a lot of fun squirting people and trying to steer the boat.

Below: Victoria & Kristin, Chad, Kelly & Corbin squirt each other. It felt really nice to get soaked since it was so hot and humid outside.

Kristin kept doing donuts and couldn't park her boat the first time she went out.

Resting

Corbin enjoyed sitting on a bench in the shade with his grandparents. It was really hot outside.

Teacups

After riding the bumper boats, a thunderstorm rolled in so we went back inside to the midway. We didn't have it all to ourselves this time, but we did manage to ride the teacups four times at Corbin's request without needing to get off and wait in line. I think he would have ridden the teacups all day long.

Cousins Come for a Visit

Corbin was a little bit jealous when his cousins, especially baby Daniel came over to Grandma's for a visit. Even though he got a new fire truck to cruise around in, he still wasn't a very happy camper.

The Gator

Corbin didn't want to ride the gator Uncle Shawn brought over with the girls. He sat in it with Grandma for a while, until cousin Kristin came and asked if he wanted to go for a ride. Maybe he is scared of women drivers.

Swimming at Grandma's

Corbin got to take a ride on a skidoo at grandma's house. The pool has been really cold, but it was just warm enough to get in for a little bit. Somehow Chad & Lucas stay in all day.

Arrival at Grandma's

Corbin and I arrived at Grandma's after a long night on the train. Of course he got some new toys and then crashed out on the couch. Before long though he was up driving the school bus around the house.

Train Ride to Grandma's

Corbin was very excited to be taking the train to Grandma's house. The excitement wore off around midnight when he finally fell asleep. He woke up in the middle of the night scared so I had to go and try to sleep on the bottom bunk with him....which was a tight squeeze considering the beds are bit smaller than the average twin bed.
